Terms of Use
The short version. ShipFit is a training log and coach that runs on your device. It is not medical advice. Exercise has risks, and you are responsible for training safely. Your data is yours and stays on your device, so back it up. The app is provided as-is.
1. Agreement
By using ShipFit (the web app, and any mobile app built from it) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. ShipFit is published by [PLACEHOLDER: your name or company].
2. Not medical advice
ShipFit provides general fitness information and tools. Its readiness scores, recovery recommendations, volume ranges, plate and load suggestions, and coach replies (including any AI-written replies) are general heuristics, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and they are not tailored to your health. They can be wrong.
- Talk to a doctor or other qualified professional before starting or changing an exercise programme, especially if you are pregnant, have an injury, pain, a medical condition, or take medication.
- Stop exercising and seek help if you feel pain, dizziness, chest discomfort or shortness of breath.
- ShipFit is not an emergency service. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number.
3. Training involves risk
Strength training and other exercise carry a risk of injury. You choose what to do and how to do it. You use ShipFit at your own risk, and you are responsible for using safe technique, appropriate weights, spotters and equipment.
4. Your data
Your data stays on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. We can't recover it if it is lost. You are responsible for making backups (Settings → Your data → Back up now); saved data is tied to one website address and one browser or home-screen install. You keep all rights to the content you enter.
5. Using ShipFit
- You may use ShipFit for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Don't misuse the service, attempt to break or overload it, or use it to break the law.
- Third-party features (such as your browser's voice recognition or an AI provider, where enabled) are subject to those providers' own terms.
6. Our rights
The ShipFit name, logo, design and software belong to [PLACEHOLDER: owner] or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app. Open-source components remain under their own licences.
7. No warranty
ShipFit is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations (for example estimated one-rep maxes) are accurate.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any injury, loss of data or loss of profit arising from your use of ShipFit. Where liability can't be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app (which, for the free version, is zero). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence in some places.
9. Changes and ending
We may update the app or these terms. If we make a material change we will update the date above. You can stop using ShipFit at any time and erase your data in Settings. We may suspend or discontinue the app.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [PLACEHOLDER: state/country], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be handled in the courts of [PLACEHOLDER: venue], except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
