Common questions
How do I install ShipFit on my phone?
iPhone/iPad (Safari): open the app, tap Share → Add to Home Screen. Android (Chrome): menu → Install app (or Add to Home screen). Once added it opens full-screen and works offline.
Do I need an account?
No. ShipFit has no accounts and no sign-in.
Where is my data? How do I back it up?
On your device only. Go to Settings → Your data → Back up now (or Save to file) for a full backup (Export CSV gives you a spreadsheet of your sets). To restore, use Settings → Your data → Restore from a backup file on the new device. Because nothing is stored in the cloud, clearing browser data or uninstalling the app can delete your history, so export regularly.
How do I move to a new phone?
Export on the old phone, send the file to the new one (AirDrop, email to yourself, cloud drive), then on the new phone open ShipFit and choose Restore from a backup file (on the welcome screen, or Settings → Your data).
I installed ShipFit on my home screen and my data is gone.
A home-screen app keeps its own storage, separate from the browser tab (on iPhone, separate from Safari) and tied to the exact website address it was installed from. Open ShipFit in the browser tab you used before, back up there (Settings → Your data → Save to file), then in the home-screen app choose Restore from a backup file. Do the same if you move to a new web address.
How do I delete all my data?
Settings → Erase all data. This can't be undone, so export first if you want a copy.
Can I import from Apple Health, Garmin or other apps?
ShipFit imports files you export yourself: Apple Health (export.xml or the .zip), .fit, .tcx and .gpx files. It does not connect to HealthKit, Apple Watch or Garmin Connect directly.
Why can't I connect my heart-rate strap?
Bluetooth heart-rate needs a browser with Web Bluetooth (Chrome on Android and desktop). iPhone browsers, including Safari, don't support it. Apple Watch doesn't broadcast the standard Bluetooth heart-rate service.
The microphone button doesn't work.
Voice input uses your browser's speech recognition and needs microphone permission. It isn't available in every browser. You can always type your sets instead.
Is the coach a doctor or a certified trainer?
No. Recommendations are general training guidance based on your logs. See the Terms. Check with a professional for pain, injury or health conditions.
I updated the app but still see the old version.
Close all ShipFit tabs/windows and reopen it once while online. The new version loads in the background and takes over on the next open.
